Need Senior Tester with .Net development experience @ WA

We have an urgent requirement of Senior Tester with .Net Development experience with one of our direct client in WA.

Location: Seattle, WA

Duration: 9 Months with possible extension of another 12 months

Start Date: January 2^nd, 2013

Job Description:

The Journey Test Engineer is proficient in current testing practices and frameworks for web-based applications, user experience design and user interface design, Web content accessibility guidelines, Web services, databases enterprise middleware and system interfaces across multiple computing platforms.

The Journey Test Engineer is technically competent, has extensive knowledge and working experience in testing during across all phases of application development and large multi-generational code base, communicates effectively, and is able to work both independently and as part of a team collaborating on complex projects. The test engineer must adhere to the existing standards and procedures.

This position requires a self-starter with excellent communication skills.

· Proposed Candidate Qualifications - Candidate must demonstrate the following qualifications:

·

· Minimum of 3 years recent experience in ASP.NET software development.

· Journey level developer.

Developing tests as part of an agile development process with competency in test driven development.

· Developing, reviewing and improving test plans and suites to ensure quality, coverage and effectiveness.

· Languages/Platforms/Frameworks: ASP.NET4, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, HTML5, DOM, CSS3.

· Cross-cutting standards: consuming web services (SOAP/WSDL, REST), XML/XSL/XSD, X/HTML.

· Middleware: IIS6+.

· IDEs and Development Tools: Microsoft VS2010, Team Foundation Server 2010.

· Building test harnesses, frameworks, test code and test cases.

· Using code versioning, branching and release methodologies.

· Understanding secure design and coding practices, use of SSL/Client Certificates.

· Experience with user experience design, user interface design and web content accessibility guidelines

· Motivated, energetic self-starter comfortable in a team-oriented environment.

· Attention to detail and firm commitment to quality and customer service.

Developing automated tests including the following:

o Unit

o Integration

o Performance and Load testing

o UI testing

· Test Plan design and Test Cases generation.
