Job Title : .Net Project Manager

Requirement :

10+ years of IT experience

Need a Project Manager that can be hands-on and to do a little bit of coding (a developer background may be helpful)

Experience developing a project

SQL, stored procedures & T-SQL

Experience in the insurance domain is a plus

An experienced Project Manager/Lead/Application Designer – who has gone thru the full project lifecycle - in a Windows based environments. With coding and database skills - while coding skill are required – this is not a coding position. I background in ASP.NET / VB.NET and SQLSERVER is preferred. Large company background preferred in building scalable, predictable, high-quality and high-performance applications on a Microsoft technology stack. An understanding of middle-ware concepts a plus

– The candidate would be required to do some coding – but not much and to lead, design and coordinate resources; to communicate with peers inside and outside of his/her group. The candidate also need a good understand of Disaster Recovery procedures from an application / user support role and an awareness of archiving and storage (SAN) management procedures. A strong understanding of Quality Assurance processes a plus.

Design and Develop Interfaces:

oversee resources building processes and or systems with .NET 4.0 / ASP.NET / VB.NET / SQL Server 2008 and WCF Data Services.

To lead and mentor developers and share knowledge through knowledge-sharing presentations

Participate in an experienced, energetic team on a rapid, agile development schedule.

Skills / Attributes Required

10 (+) years experience as a project manager / lead developer / designer/ data architect

8 (+) years of database background working with SQL Server (2005/2008 preferred) , etc…

5 (+) years experience at coding with ASP.NET/VB.NET, etc…

An understanding of database clustering, data performance issues, physical and logical data design and object-oriented programming (OOP) and a computer science background is preferred -

A knowledge of .NET 3.5/4.0 Framework, including Visual Studio 2008, VB.NET, ASP.NET is a plus

A Strong knowledge of software implementation best practices - required

Strong experience designing and working with n-tier architectures (UI, Business Logic Layer, Data Access Layer) along with some experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA)

A knowledge of and the ability to design and optimize TSQL, and stored procedures

Large Insurance Company, background is a plus (areas of concentration – underwriting and reinsurance a plus)

The ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment required

Education:

Master degree in Computer Science a plus, Software Engineering or a related areas a plus.

Advanced degrees a plus
