PM w/ Data Warehousing / Datastage
Location: Cranston, RI & Medford, MA

Duration: 9 Months

Will need occasional travel between the Medford, MA and Cranston, RI
 
Responsibilities:
Client is embarking on a significant program to deliver an Enterprise Data Initiative (EDI) through a data warehouse, data marts, analytical and reporting tools, and an operational MDM hub.
 
The Project Manager will coordinate workstreams related to ETL Development within multiple areas of the operational model including staging, warehouse and Data Mart regions.

As a Project Manager in this highly visible development area they must be able to interact closely with on/offshore development resource to design, build and implement leading ETL solutions.
 
Must have knowledge of ABC and CDC principles and to manage the deliverables, risk and issues related to code migrations within multiple bank regions. It is imperative that the Project Management has a strong understanding of ETL best practices and obstacles that may arise in the development process. The Project Manager will need to be fully engaged and proactive while engaging with Business teams that have developed business requirements and mapping specifications as well as with the operational groups at the bank.

Candidates should be comfortable in a fast pace environment and have a strong desire to grow skills and responsibilities. There is expectation that this manager will support the scaling of the team to support multiple, simultaneous releases.  
The Project Manager manages his/her workload and is attentive to detail and accuracy, committed to excellence, looks for improvements continuously, owns/acts on quality problems, and prioritizes tasks to meet deadlines. They report to the EDI Program Manager and drive results and adherence to the timelines of the project schedule as communicating project risks and issues and mitigating in a proactive manner

 

Qualifications
• 7 – 10 yrs of Project Management experience in large scale Data Integration projects.
• 5+ years ETL, DW and /or BI related experience with experience with IBM DataStage (DS) including DS8.1 and DS8.7
• 10 yrs of experience with MS Project and preferred PMP
• Proven ability to understand and effectively translate key data concepts involved in a large scale Financial Services Data Integration Program - Strong Consumer/Commercial Banking domain knowledge is a plus
• Strategic thinker and proactive, results oriented team manager
• Proven ability to quickly learn and direct application migration processes and procedures
• SDLC experience including large, complex cross functional projects.
• Professional image with ability to form good partner relationships across functions
• Able and willing to collaborate in a team environment and strong facilitation skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills to communicate information effectively to all levels.
• Self-starter and team leader who is assertive, independent and can manage multiple responsibilities without daily supervision
