Need Informatica PowerCenter v9.1, SAP ECCE 6 and MDM Experience
High Level Overview:
Our client is looking for a candidate with strong data conversion & migration experience using Informatica PowerCenter v9.1 and possibly using Informatica DQ (for data profiling, cleansing, and standardizing) for extract, cleanse, and transform data (transactional, financial, and HR data) from various legacy systems into SAP ECCE6. Experience loading above data into SAP via LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench utilities in SAP) is preferred.
Must work independently with limited or no oversight
Collaborate with legacy system experts, business process owners, SAP system/functional experts in deriving source(s) to target mapping
Full Description:
Database developer position is responsible for database development as well as managing activities related with data and database integration in our client's enterprise including all Global Operating and Product Platforms working closely with platform owners in Shared Services and Line of Business Technology teams for our client. Person in this position will also be responsible for building relationships with other technical teams within the organization to ensure project success. These relationships are used to define complex technical ideas to non-technical people. Persons in this position will be responsible for working with the Development Teams to interpret written requirements and technical specification documents, ability to code according to published standards and design guidelines, ensure the integrity of the data, full understanding of database design, Unix environment, extract transform Load and ensure that proper processes of data quality, data cleansing, data transformation are being maintained at all times. Develop standard operating procedures for Production team.
- Successful, on-time completion of database development and data integration projects which include data model design, capturing database documentation in Erwin, creation of database objects, producing DDL's performance monitoring, troubleshooting, database and application tuning, security policies, database backup strategy and capacity planning. Turn over standard operating procedures for Production Support DBA team.
- Lead technical design and develop code based on master data hub architecture, data design and implementation.
- Lead and plan to develop automated MDM job processes, task queues development, product support and regular maintenance plan and data operations.
- Produce detailed technical insight and knowledge based on business requirements.
- Work with project teams to develop database and data integration requirements and translate them into quality coding to business and technical specifications.
- Designs and reviews data integration and transformation processes using company standards and toolsets
- Review coding performed by team members
- Create, document, and implement test plans and scripts
- Work with team members to investigate, analyze, document and correct reported defects
- Create an environment within the team that inspires high performance and standards on data integration development work
- End-to-end data analysis and integration testing based on enterprise data flow architecture
- Report to Management timely outlining successes and issues including suggested solutions
- Understand concepts on Application Servers, Web Services and learn new technologies related to MDM integration.
Work closely with Business Units' IT and the team members units throughout the company to ensure proper data management solutions are in place.
Competencies/Critical Skills:
- Highly effective communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with Informatica ETL, MDM and Data Quality Skills
- Full understanding of the processes of data quality data cleansing and data transformation
- Full understanding of Extract Transform Load concepts and technologies
- Strong data analysis skills required
- Full understanding of database system analysis, design, security, backup and recovery, change control management
- Experience with high-transactional systems, ongoing tuning and performance, working with extended technical teams in a collaborative environment, multi-task in a fast paced environment on data integration projects not limited only to MDM process
- Full understanding of java concepts, Clustered JBOSS implementation, and support
- Experience leading and/or managing several areas of database development, data integration, and one off data migration efforts in Oracle, SQL Server, My SQL, and NoSQL environments using generic database tools, Informatica ETL, Informatica data profiling and quality tools, Informatica MDM tool sets or packaged systems
- Learn and develop new data integration capabilities based on business model requirements such as Customer Data Hub, Informatica SAP/Seibel integrations or any other new technologies required in the future.
Most challenging aspect of this position:
- Understanding all data flows and MDM processes within the company and how they relate to "behind the scenes" within our client's business systems
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
- Work with developers to lead data integration life cycle where they will understand the process of planning, data extraction, bridge building and system cutover
- Proven ability and initiative to learn and research new concepts, ideas and technologies quickly.
