REQUIRMENT:

Position: Data Analyst - OBIEE & SQL

Location: Dallas, TX

Duration: 9+Months

Pay Rate : DOE

Major Responsibilities

In conjunction with end user management, design, develop and implement reporting in support of Fidelity Procurement’s initiatives, focused on ensuring appropriate purchases, investments and financial targets are achieved

Develop and implement reporting technologies and distribution solutions. This may involve web based execution of reports, automated emails, or customer self-retrieval of data

Utilize expertise with financial applications and databases (e.g. Oracle eBusiness Suite, Emptoris Spend Analytics, BCD Travel data and AMEX corporate card systems) to prove ongoing value-added reports to Fidelity Procurement Management and its business partners on a scheduled and/or ad hoc basis.

Data mining and analysis of data related to all Fidelity procurement activities with an emphasis on Procurement specific data (e.g. detail booking data for travel analysis, purchase orders in process, contract compliance, issues with invoices).

Translate findings into meaningful and actionable information to assist Fidelity managers in understanding their cost drivers and savings opportunities.

Provide analysis support to all functions within Fidelity Procurement, including Program Management Office, Strategic Sourcing, Operations, Solution Center, Risk and Technology. This includes managing the direction, development, communication and implementation required to complete system fix and/or system enhancement activity which may include documenting business requirements, developing test cases, coordinating User Acceptance Testing, conducting and/or coordinating production validation and data clean-up following production installation/implementation.

Problem Solving

The Reporting & Analytics role requires a unique skill set requiring the individual to make frequent decisions on data collection and evaluation methods / techniques to apply, often with little or no direction.

Employ an ”executive perspective” when delivering information for decisions / actions

Creativity and innovation will be required to construct permanent solutions and processes

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Requirements:

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Management Systems, Statistics

3+ years’ experience in financial, accounting or business analysis roles and system project experienced, focused on report generation, dashboard design and data warehouses

Experience with database technology (Oracle, SQL)

Preferred experience with purchasing and accounts payable platforms

Experience with query tools (Hyperion, Brio, MS Access)

Strong skills in SQL/PLSQL.

1+ years of expertise with generating reports using OBIEE is a huge Plus.

Strong understanding of statistical analysis and modeling. Knowledge of different multivariate statistical techniques (Discriminant analysis, Logistic regression, CHAID, Cluster analysis, Factor analysis, etc.) a plus

Skills / Knowledge

Solid experience with relational databases (Oracle and SQL)

Deep knowledge of Hyperion / Brio, Access and/or other query building tools and techniques

Proficient database analysis, query design, data architecture, and data management skills

Advance skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Advanced skills in charting and graphing data sets using Microsoft Office suite

Strong judgment, analytical ability and problem-solving skills

Demonstrated knowledge of procurement (purchasing and contracting) and Accounts Payable (AP) systems and best practices associated with these

Demonstrated ability to handle priorities / projects concurrently

Hands on experience/ knowledge in building reports using OBIEE

Knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts and data model designs (Star, snowflake) a plus
