Senior Developer/Test Engineer

Reston, VA. 

This is a 6 month assignment.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

• Minimum of 5 years of overall development or software testing experience
• 2+ years JAVA programming experience
• In depth skills of problem analysis, troubleshooting and resolution of networking issues. Some knowledge of routers, switches, load balancers and the associated protocols TCP/IP, UDP etc. A Plus – CCNA or Network+
• At least 3 years of hands-on working knowledge of Unix Shell scripts written in (BASH, C Shell, Korn Shell)
• Experience with Selenium 2 (Webdriver), Grinder, RPT, and IXIA or other Test Automation tools
• Working knowledge of industry scripting languages -- prefer (Perl, Python/Jython, Groovy, Ruby)
• Linux (Red Hat AS) and Apache, Tomcat experience as a user and sysadmin
• Working knowledge of testing web portals and mobile devices
• Experience with test tools such as: Quality Center and defect tracking tools
• Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle and test processes
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Thorough attention to detail
• Strong team player and a self-starter
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• A Plus
• Testing experience with Restful API testing
• Experience with developing automation scripts

Education:
MS/BS degree in Computer Science or related field
