Role: Ab Initio Developer
Location: Berkeley Heights, NJ
Contract length: Minimum 6+ months
Any candidates submitted MUST be available for the interview in on 4/12. They will consider phone interviews, but candidates will have to come to New Jersey for a f2f after the initial phone interview. Local candidates to NJ would be very highly preferred *
- Primary Skill required is AbInitio
- The candidate must have data warehousing background; preferably in an insurance or financial industry.
- This person must be able to function independently throughout the lifecycle of a project and must be flexible to adapt as the projects evolve.
- Must be proficient in programming complex ETL modules and skilled in Relational Database systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must.
- Proficient in the ETL tool AbInitio
- High proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL with strong relational database concepts
- Knowledge of UNIX Operating basic commands and scheduling
- Knowledge of IBM WebSphere DataStage and QualityStage Designer is a plus
- Knowledge of mainframe systems TSO, JCL and proc is a plus.
- Experience in enhancing functionality in large Data warehousing and Reporting Systems
- Work with Reporting team to build marts and tables to optimize reporting performance.
- Support System Testing and User Acceptance Testing and deployment
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with production support experience.
- Professional, energetic and self-motivated with a well defined work ethic
Duration: 6 months with the possibility to extend till end of the year
Education and Experience:
Bachelors Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience working on large projects as ETL develope
