Title:   Developing firmware for SOC processors

Location :San Jose, CA

Duration : 12+ Months

 

Description:

 

Minimum BS CS/CE or equivalent, with at least 5+ years experience in the design, and/or development of firmware development on SOC firmware and operating systems software including device drivers, kernel development.

• 5+ years of experience developing firmware for SOC processors, low level board bringup software and diagnostics code.

• Hands-on experience with development of Firmware and bring-up of SoCs, preferably ARM SoCs is required.

* Hands-on experience with bringup of hardware/boards with low level software is required

• Hands-on experience with development of Linux/Unix OS kernel platform software including PCIe HBA device drivers (preferably in storage and/or networking space) is a huge plus

• Very good understanding of memory controllers, DDR2/DDR3, I2C Bus/Controller/Devices,

SPI/NOR/NAND Flash and direct experience in writing low level software and bringup activities is required

• Very good knowledge o Linux/Unix and/or FreeBSD Kernel internals such as DMA, Memory Manager, OS debug skills are highly desired

* Proficiency in C, Assembly, preferably in ARM and debugging skills are required.

• Proven record of meeting tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.

• Strong communication skills are essential, both written and oral, targeted at a wide variety of internal and external audiences.
