Sr. Software Engineer with Cassandra- Mountain View - 4 Months+
Technical/Functional Skills:
· Strong in programming in Java and JavaScript or related languages
· 5+ years of Database or Big Data experience.
· 2+ years of hands-on experience with Cassandra Database
· Experience and exposure in Java /JEE technology and related frameworks
· Experience in Open Source Technologies
· Experience in different OS including different flavors of Unix and Linux
· Highly motivated, positive, detail oriented and responsible
· Team player with good communication skills
· Broad knowledge of different database systems and technologies, a plus.
Experience:
· Experience designing, implementing, and tuning commercial quality applications that leverage NoSQL databases.
· 2+ years of hands-on experience with Cassandra Database, preferably with large clusters (size of Cassandra cluster they worked on).
· Experience in major NoSQL databases. Examples: Cloudant, MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase
· Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy along with the ability to work independently and deliver on business partner goals.
· Independent as well as team contributor with good communication and presentation skills.
