 Sr. Citrix Systems and VMWare Engineer New York | Positions | RGSIDs | RequirementIDs | | 2 | | | Principal Responsibilities: - Serves as a one of the technical Lead Engineer in the implementation, and maintenance of all assigned projects, responsible integrity and reliability of the infrastructure.
- Responsible for the implementation of new systems, upgrades and modifications, including planning, testing, coordinating and scheduling. Ensures that change management and defined security procedures for all assigned systems are executed in accordance with client policies and procedures.
- Minimizes client service interruptions through early identification and resolution of problems. Analyzes monitoring and maintenance data and implements changes as required to achieve optimum performance. Makes and implement recommendations for resources required to maintain and/or expand service levels.
- Responsible for problem management activities, provides tier-three support in problem resolution.
- Assist with the design, development, implementation, procedures, and deliverables standards pertaining to projects and services
- Extensive interfacing, collaboration, and coordination of efforts with vendors and other departments in the company
- Provide training to Operations staff as needed
- Perform routine system analysis, and develop reporting metrics, perform proactive and predictive analysis.
Experience - Minimum of 7 years’ experience in Remote Access Technologies based on Citrix Systems and VMWare
- 3+ Years’ experience implementing, deploying, and supporting Citrix XenDesktop 5.6 with Windows 7 through Citrix Provisioning Services, including best practices for virtualization
- 5 + Years’ experience managing complex Citrix XenApp 6.0 and 6.5 environments as a Publish desktop and Publish Application.
- 3 + Years' experience Installing, configuring and managing App-V infrastructure on XenApp and XenDesktop environment
- 5 + Years’ experience with Microsoft Windows 2008 R2 Server and Windows 7 in Virtual environment
- 1 + Years' experience of AppDNA product
- Experience for implementation of Desktop GPOs in all domains throughout.
- Develop and maintain O&S Standard Operating Procedures in VDI environment
- Desire good knowledge of AppSense Management Suite
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, Active Directory Policy Management and Storage Area Networks
- Experience knowledge of VMWARE 4.x and 5.x
- 3 Years’ experience supporting Citrix NetScaler.
- Experience PowerShell scripting
Knowledge/Skill - Strong project management and leadership skills

- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of the ITIL framework
- Knowledge and expertise in disaster recovery exercises
- Extensive and proven knowledge of Citrix technologies: XenApp 5.x & 6.x, XenDesktop 5.x and 5.x, Provisioning Services 5.6 and 6.x, Citrix NetScaler/Enterprise Access Gateway 9.x & 10.x, Web Interface/Storefront.
- Extensive and proven knowledge of Microsoft Technologies: Server 2008, Windows Windows 7 64 bit
- Extensive knowledge of Internet Explorer and other browser configurations.
- Experience with RSA authentication server and Secure ID technology
- Strong Knowledge of App-V and AppDNA product
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL and IIS
- Knowledge of Storage Area Networks
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory policies
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including: DNS, TCP/IP, Routing protocols
Education, Training or Certification - CCA, CCEE or CCIA
- BS degree in Computer Science or related experience
