Position: Oracle DBA
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Duration: 6+ months
Must Haves:
Completion of Bachelors degree in MIS or CS, relevant DB platform certification, and/or at least 5 years of related work experience
Extensive knowledge of platform specific advanced database features (e.g. clustering, encryption, logical/physical standby, ETL, replication) and performance optimization of both database server configuration and SQL code
Minimum of 5 years conducting general database administration tasks (e.g. DB implementation, DB code deployments, DB backups, creation of DB user accounts)
At least 2 years administering database platform specific advanced features (e.g. clustering, encryption, logical/physical standby, replication) and performance optimizing server database servers and SQL code.
This position requires a Sr. DBA who has solid experience with Oracle, 10g, 11g, Rack, and Data Guard.
This position will be part of an on-going on call rotation - on call every three weeks after about the first month when he/she is up to speed. (Not significant work though when on a call, maybe a couple of calls here there, rarely anything overnight.)
