Technical Management
• >Ability to configure and implement Cisco network devices (Nexus, UCS, ASA)
• >Proficient in network route/switch and converged voice technologies from an engineering perspective >Proficient with IP addressing (IPv4 subnets and supernets), VLANS, EIGRP, BGP and 4 queue QoS
• >Proficient in establishing and maintaining Business to Business VPN solutions with 3rd parties
• >Proficient in establishing and maintaining private point to point connections with 3rd parties
• >Proficient in the use of technical standards and architectural design requirements
• >Proficient with network transport technology interfaces across an enterprise
• >Proficient with network security protocols > Knowledge of WAN acceleration technologies
• >Ensure deliverables are aligned with POA architectural design and support standards
• >Participates in the development of technical requirements and estimates
• >Understand performance management capabilities including Vendor Management
• >Provide guidance and decision making for vendors and resource partners
• >Be an escalation point for vendor / resource partner technical issues
Ø Guide Ameriprise leaders in the most efficient use of vendors and resource partners
Ø Help to develop SOWs including the alignment on SLAs Required
• >5+ years experience as a network engineer or architect
• >Knowledge of Cisco-based Networking products
• >Understands network transport technology (ie: MPLS, Access Mechanisms, PSTN, etc..) interfaces across an enterprise
• >Working knowledge of network performance tools including, but not limited to: Wireshark, VitalSuite, Prognosis, NetQos and Opnet >Experience explaining complex problems or situation and facilitating resolutions in a multi-sourced, multi-vendor environment
• >Strong writing & communication skills >Strong teamwork skills
• >Strong Leadership skills Experience leading others is a plus
Ø Must be a self-starter and feel comfortable working independently Preferred
• >Cisco Certifications in Data (CCNP minimally)
