Job description:

Design and implement systems software components and drivers for Windows 8. Proactively track and fix code defects in such components. Debug system failures, crashes and hangs using Windows kernel debugger. Measure and analyze performance of software components using variety of Windows platform tools, including Windows Performance toolkit. Perform quality analysis of software components using tools, such as static code analyzers, dynamic code verifiers, fault injectors and similar.

A successful candidate must be able to work independently and have good communication skills. They must have solid software engineering skills and be able to understand, debug and modify kernel mode code written by others. Thorough understanding of Windows internals is a must. Understanding of hardware design is a definite plus.

Qualification requirements:

· Minimum 4 years of experience developing drivers for Windows on x86 platform. Windows 8 experience is a plus.

· Thorough understanding of WDM and WDF. PnP and Power Management areas are especially important.

· Solid C/C++ coding skills.

· Solid kernel mode debugging skills and deep knowledge of WinDbg.

· Knowledge of low-power bus (I2C, SPI, etc.) is a plus.
