Requirement:

Position: Material Specialist

Location: Houston, Texas

Duration : Long Term

 

Description:

 

·         SAP Material Master data through a remediation exercise focusing on Cleansing enrichment and de-duplication

·         Merging of Material Master data records and associated master/ transactional data in the domain using de-dup cross reference table

·         Retrofitting Material Group design changes into existing SAP master and transactional data records, using material group mapping table

·         Material Parent-Child Nomination validation and correction

·         Ensure Supply master data encoding rules and standards are met in-line with Global data standards and quality standards

·         Develop understanding of integration between and inter-linked business processes

·         Co-ordinate with the De-Duplication Core project team

·         Understand the process and design documents of De-Duplication functionality

·         Identify the duplicate material in the material master by the logical rules and work on the back office tool

·         Execute the task by the methodology defined by core team and apply nominations.

·         Resolve the conflicts & issues if any on the identified duplicates

·         Co-ordinate with Petroleum production units for the sign off of the identified material as duplicates with proper justification

·         Involved with the core team for the SLO (System Landscape Optimization) process for the merging of duplicate material data objects to the retaining material in the system

·         Knowledge on merge conflict on material master data objects while transferring duplicate material data to the retaining material in the system

·         Resolve the complexity and frequently interact with the business for taking decision while merging of material

·         Knowledge of Inventory planner settings(MR settings)

 

 

Required experience:

·         A Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Data Maintenance and working knowledge of materials management

·         More than 3+ years of experience in Material Management

·         Experience with processing of SAP ECC6.0 Master Data and working in a high volume transactional role is essential

·         Advanced proficiency with Microsoft applications, specifically Excel/Access to generate review reports and to perform data analytics on large volume complex data sets, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook

·         Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and consistent ability to achieve deadlines under pressure will enhance suitability

·         Multi-tasking capabilities at times will be essential to manage conflicting objectives and priorities

·         Knowledge in Material master Data objects

·         Knowledge and use of SAP ECC6.0 Transaction codes on MM core functions in SAP

 

 

Project relationship:

·         Data Administrators, Business process Data coach and Business process data leads

·         The exercise shall require coordination with Core implementation team and Supply master data team
