Position: Software Developer (Scripting)
Location: San Jose, CA
Duration: Long Term
Role: The engineer will design, develop, integrate and test a component framework for Client’s IP Operating System.
Skills Required:
· 5+ years of embedded software development experience in a multi-threaded environment
· GIT/CVS and Makefile experience is a MUST, experience with CMake is a plus
· Bash/Perl/Python Scripting experience is a MUST
· Knowledge of build and release best practice on Linux platform
· Knowledge of Electric Cloud Build system is a plus
· Experience with code refactoring and modularization required
· Code analysis tools such as used for dependency graphs an asset
· Excellent C programming skills and threading libraries is a plus
· Static analysis tool experience an asset
· Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
· Experience designing and implementing generic C libraries for multiple build targets
· Networking and IP protocol experience, knowledge of system infrastructure beneficial
· BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent is required.
Additional inputs
- Design and implement a simple and efficient build and release process for a complex software code-base.
- Involvement in code modularization on a large scale code-base
- Ability to work with global cross-functional teams
- Identify infrastructure requirements, design and implement generic solutions.
- Monitor and guide others on the usage of component framework to improve efficiency
- Write technical specifications and design documents.
- Work within an Agile work environment
