Job Title: Test Engineer( 2 Position)

Duration: 12 Months

Location: Mequon, WI & Eden Prairie, MN

 

Job Description:

 

The Firmware Test Engineer assists firmware engineers with verification of servo drive features. Work assignments include implementation of test setups, execution of evaluation/qualification tests, and generation of associated test reports. This position requires competency with the RSLogix5000 architecture including motion control, and a high degree of independence is required.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associates degree in electronic technology

• Experience with PLC-based motion programming (RSLogix5000 + ControlLogix preferred)

• General understanding of 230-480VAC industrial power conversion equipment

• Expertise with laboratory testing techniques and broad experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, millimeters. etc.

• Excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills

• Detail-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills

 

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with >5 years of experience

• Familiarity with Ethernet networks, including troubleshooting using WireShark and applications such as FTP and telnet

• Familiarity with motion control performance metrics such as tracking error, bandwidth, and settling time.

• Familiarity with closed loop servo system concepts

• Experience with creation of test plans and test philosophy
