Job Title : Senior Websphere MQ Administrator

Duration: 6 months

Location: Cincinnati, Ohio

 

Requirement :

 

The ideal candidates will contribute to the enterprise by installing and configuring IBM WebSphere MQ on AIX, Linux, and MVS operating systems. Designs, develops, and implements run-time architecture for multi-tier applications by engineering and configuring IBM WebSphere MQ. Will be responsible for capacity planning and performance tuning of MQ environments. Will be required to collaborate and partner with middleware development and other technology teams in the organization.

 

Essential Job Functions:

Administer MQ & MQFTE in Dev, Test, QA, and Production environments.

Responsible for installing and configuring MQ & MQFTE on AIX, Linux, and MVS operating systems.

Active participation in project meetings and provide input to design and implementation of middleware solutions.

Experience with build and automation using ant, JCL, PERL, & UNIX Shell Scripting.

 

Requirements:

The ideal candidates should possess:

Experience in MQ publish/subscribe, coupling, queue sharing groups, cluster configuration, Security Management (including SSL), MQ Error log and FDC analysis and troubleshooting, performance tuning.

Experience in MQ FTE installation and configuration on AIX, Linux, and MVS operating systems.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to mentor other members in the team and strong problem solving skills.

Expertise with full software development life cycle including functional & technical specification, documentation, QA processes, maintenance and deployments.

 

Desired Skills:

Experience in IBM Message Broker, Connect Direct, & DataPower XB60.

Knowledge in SOA framework and concepts, Enterprise Application Integrations, Transformations Engines, Web Services and Data Integration techniques.
