Requirement:

Job Title: Application Support Engineer II

Location: Chevy Chase, MD

Duration: 6-12 Months

 

Responsibilities:

Acts as a secondary response for technical support. Provides for complex products, including escalated issues, mainly to end users, along with developers and corporate customers. Provides support via telephone, written correspondence, and electronic media. Works independently with limited supervision. May provide technical training, coaching and mentoring to other engineers. May act as substantial technical resource in certain product areas. (3-5 year experience)

This position will provide support to the Multiline application deployment and release processes, and provide first-line, incident response coverage and triage of services, systems and applications. This position will also play a key role in account administration, release management, and response to and resolution of operational incidents.

 

Required: 

Must be located in the Chevy Chase, MD or Fredericksburg, VA geographical area
Must have excellent customer service skills, both in person, over the phone and through written communication
Strong analytical skills for problem solving as well as for creation of project artifacts
Experience with VMware and Hyper-V
Experience with SQL Server 2005/8 

Additional Skills:

 

Experience working with Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server Administration
Experience with MS Build and Team Foundation Build
At least 3 years’ experience with Windows Server 2003/2008, IIS 7,and Scripting with Microsoft Power shell.
Proven track record working with BizTalk 2006/2010 is Optimum.
Familiarity with Microsoft System Center Suite (SCOM, SCVMM, and SCCM preferred) 

Educational requirements:

 

MCSE or B.S in Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
