SharePoint Designer

Location: Houston, TX

Duration: 6+ months

Rate: $52 HR C2C

Required Skills

Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript Strong working knowledge of content types, site columns, and list templates in SharePoint Strong working knowledge of master pages, themes, page layouts, and CSS/XSLT in SharePoint Thorough knowledge of social collaboration features in SharePoint: blogs, wikis, discussions, tags, note boards, etc.

Extensive SharePoint Design experience

5+ years of web design and development.

3+ years of SharePoint design

CSS, HTML, XSLT, AJAX, JQUERY, XML, Javascript

SHAREPOINT DESIGNER JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for designing interfaces and graphic elements for SharePoint 2010. Previous experience designing sites and components in a SharePoint 2010 environment is required for this candidate to completely understand the design limitations and challenges within the SharePoint Server platform.

This talented expert is focused on delivering business value through the design and delivery of engaging user experiences within technology products. This role will primarily consist of design/development work and collaboration with other members of the product team. The SharePoint User Experience Specialist will provide guidance on design approaches and recommendations within SharePoint, create wireframes and mockups for review, and help the product team implement approved designs.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

Create compelling user experiences that simplify complex process methodologies Design engaging interfaces and graphic elements for SharePoint and Project Server products Implement solution designs using HTML, CSS, XML, XSLT, and JavaScript Collaborate with SMEs, and developers to create quality products. This position requires a thorough understanding of the benefits and challenges associated with leveraging technologies such as HTML, XML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Additional knowledge and experience with related technologies such as AJAX, jQuery, and XSLT are excellent. Preferred candidates will possess comprehensive knowledge of user interface design and experience with information architecture concepts, content management processes, and site navigation strategies. The ideal candidate is an excellent problem-solver with a passion for design and user experiences.
