Urgent Opening - Java Developer]

Title: Java Developer
Location: Boston Metro West
Period: January 9 - end June, about 6 months
 
Don't worry about ETL.
 
 
Responsibilities:

Participate in application development process.
Collect requirements, design, code, debug and test data integration / migration programs using ETL Scripts
Work with business users to understand the data transformation/migration needs
Develop technical specifications for the data migration needs
Interact with a group of remote (possibly offshore) team
Work with other development teams

 
Sills, experience & qualifications needed:

Bachelor degree with information technology or computer science
Direct experience in designing developing ETL scripts
Experience with Pentaho Data Integration tools is highly preferred.
At least 6-8 years of software development experience
Hands on knowledge of Java/J2EE technologies with Oracle database.
Experience with Java tools such as jUnit, Log4J, Maven, etc.


Ability to function in a large team managing multiple priorities across projects
Exposure to retail industry, SAP, supply-chain domain is preferred.
